Following the launch of their debut collaboration last year, iconic vintage shop Harajuku BerBerJin and Junya Watanabe Man are once again collaborating to replicate iconic pieces from BATES, Levi’s and Carhartt.
The second drop of the BerberJin x Junya Watanabe Man collection includes two biker-style jackets that mimic the legendary BATES jackets. The worn and shiny leather texture is replicated in cotton to make it lighter and more breathable. The leather jackets feature the characteristic yellow patches and the iconic ‘BATES ‘Leathers’ label.
In addition to these jackets, the collaboration also includes two trouser silhouettes. The first is the Levi’s® 551ZXX model with a distressed aesthetic achieved with different shades of denim and the addition of rips at the knees and a drawstring adjustment; the second is a pair of brown canvas trousers inspired by the ’50s Carhartt silhouette.
Pieces from the collection will be available through ZOZOVILLA and at the eYe Junya Watanabe Man shop on 21 April.
