The world’s first Forbes House to open in Madrid

Next autumn, Madrid will host the world’s first Forbes House, a business club for members that will be based in this spectacular building near the Castellana, designed by architect Carlos Lamela.

The opening of this leisure and business centre of the centenary economic newspaper is a personal initiative of Andrés Rodríguez, president of Spainmedia, which will also have the support and endorsement of Forbes USA. It is a building of almost 2,000 m² located at number 5 Amador de los Ríos street, just opposite the Saddle Madrid restaurant (the former Jockey) and surrounded by the palaces of the Ministry of the Interior: a building from the sixties completely refurbished in the last four years by the prestigious Estudio Lamela.

This studio, founded in 1954 by the architect Antonio Lamela, is currently run by his son Carlos and has signed architectural landmarks such as the construction of terminals T4 and T4S at Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas Airport (in collaboration with the British architectural firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners), the new Schiphol Airport Terminal in Amsterdam, Terminal A at Warsaw Airport, the Astro Tower in Brussels, the Canalejas Complex in Madrid or the previous remodelling of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium (which remained in force from 1988 to 2021).
