With over 300 million monthly users and countless daily song recognitions around the world, Shazam stands as the reliable and definitive tool for artists and listeners alike. And in keeping with tradition, it shares its annual New Year’s predictions list of 50 artist tracks that have all the makings of success. In addition, five profiles have also been highlighted whose potential will take them to the top in 2024. The selection is as global as it is diverse, based on their start to the year according to the indicators and also on the trends that are beginning to emerge in some countries.
The 2023 predictions list had a significant presence in the Apple Music Top 100 and included artists from 171 countries. Seven of the 50 creatives included also reached the global Shazam top 200, including Stephen Sanchez, who reached number six on 23 January, Ice Spice, who also reached the top 200 in March, and Young Miko, who climbed to number 58 in April 2023.
