From 15 to 18 February, Allianz will return to MBFWMadrid to continue supporting emerging talent and the future of Spanish fashion through the seventh edition of Allianz EGO.
A total of fifteen firms are candidates to win this coveted award, including ALEJANDRE, ANYSTUDIO, BRAVE_OF, Cherry Massia, DIEF STUDIO, DYSTOPIA, EVADE HOUSE, FRAMES (BETA), KEPEREZAXIKO, Lemachet, MAL Studio Custom Project, MARIA LUNARES, Tania Marcial, THE ARTELIER and VISORI STUDIO. All of them will present their proposal during MBFWMadrid, and the winner will be awarded with a €6,000 prize to create a new collection and professional advice for six months for the business development of her career with the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT). In addition, they will have the opportunity to show at the next edition of the Allianz EGO catwalk show to be held in September 2024.
The jury will be made up of relevant industry figures such as Ana Locking, designer and professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid-CSDMM, who won the National Fashion Award in 2020 and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in 2021. The selection of experts is completed by Ana Rodríguez, director of MBFWMadrid; Andrés Aberasturi, curator of Allianz EGO and Maruca García Paredes, director of the Fashion Department at UDIT.
Among the novelties of this next edition, it is worth highlighting the participation of COCONUTSCANKILL, the brand that won the prize in its last edition, through which it will unveil its new collection ‘Sommet’. In addition, RUBEARTH – which won the first edition of the award – will launch a sustainable collection for pets, which will be available for purchase at the Allianz EGO Creation Space.
