‘The Narcissist’ is the designer’s first solo project.
A semi-finalist for the 2026 LVMH Prize, Daniel del Valle presented his first debut collection on 21 February, full of drama, shattered porcelain and petals scattered on the floor. The young designer managed to bring together some of the industry’s most influential critics at Ladbroke Hall in London to show that Thevxlley is much more than just a fashion brand.
‘The Narcissist’ is an art collection in itself that has been in the making for the last three years: pure craftsmanship taken to the limit. The collection leans more towards sculpture than ready-to-wear, with enormous porcelain vases transformed into bodices, corsets tightened at the back and sides tied with silk ribbons. Visually striking and physically heavy pieces, where flowers sprouted from the heels, tied to the models’ feet, as if nature were reclaiming every inch of the body.
In a calendar saturated with commercial offerings, Thevxlley‘s debut spoke of ego, self-observation, ornamental excess and emotional weight. And it did so through craftsmanship, sculpture and staging.
