Barcelona once again became the world epicentre of electronic music and cultural innovation on 13, 14 and 15 June thanks to the exclusive Sónar programme. After last year’s success, we can confirm that this edition exceeded all expectations. As could not be otherwise, the leading brand in electric mobility, Silence, joined this celebration, injecting its vibrant energy to this musical event that united techno, innovation and sustainability in equal parts. With the help of artists and content creators such as Sabek and Reven, the company wanted to transmit its way of experiencing the festival in ‘ON Mode’. And we didn’t hesitate to join the movement.
One of the hallmarks of Sónar is its unique music and festive atmosphere, and the 31st edition was no exception. The brand presented a unique space at Sónar by Day where artists, friends and thousands of festival-goers passed by. Silence contributed to this festive spirit by creating a stand to experience the festival without limits, with multiple mobile charging stations powered by the same batteries used in their vehicles. In this way, we were able to enjoy dream performances such as Tommy Cash, Mainline Magic Orchestra or HorsegiirL without worrying about running out of battery thanks to Silence.
In addition to these charging points, Silence introduced a Battery Station on the stand so that the battery could be swapped for a charged one in 30 seconds. But what for? Silence had devised the Swap-Swap Challenge, a challenge with a prize for anyone who could swap a battery from one of their bikes to the Battery Station in the shortest possible time – demonstrating the agility and speed of this process with Silence. A way of demonstrating that whether in the city or at a festival, the brand gives you the option to move without limits. In the next few days, the winner of this challenge will be announced, who will be able to live the experience of driving an exclusive Silence S01 for a week, with the intervention of the artist Sabek, who was on the stand during the three days.
The artist from Madrid once again collaborated with the company during Sónar and reinterpreted the energy that characterises Silence with his philosophy of experiencing the festival in ‘ON Mode’ in the brand’s space. Thus, he created an immersive installation, intervening the whole space: from the walls to the floor and the motorbikes on display. These vehicles are the ones that the winners of the challenge will be able to enjoy. The artist told us that he was inspired by “Movement, dynamism and fluidity” to create this work of art. Meanwhile, the content creator Reven was in charge of transmitting the energy that was breathed in this space through his social networks, as well as showing both the novelties and the challenges that the brand had prepared for the Sónar attendees.
