Maison Valentino teams up with Vans to merge skate and couture in a renewed version of the Vans Authentic. The capsule includes six unisex models that retain the low-top canvas silhouette.
The collaboration updates the designs with high-contrast graphic prints. Among them are the Valentino Le Chat de la Maison motif, a monogram checkerboard in green with palm trees, and another version in red and black. There is also a black and white checkerboard overlaid with red polka dots, as well as the “I Love Valentino x Vans” print, inspired by souvenir typography.
The campaign uses images generated with artificial intelligence, based on the show Valentino Le Méta-Théâtre Des Intimités. Water is used as a visual element to convey fluidity and rupture.
The trainers are already available on the Valentino website. They will also arrive in the brand’s boutiques, on Vans.com, and at the Vans flagship store in London on 19 September.
