20 million dollars and 25 Asscher-cut yellow diamonds accompanied by 76 emerald-cut tsavorites and 57 baguette-cut yellow diamonds: this is the most expensive watch in the world by Jacob & Co.
In 2015 Jacob & Co made history by launching Billionaire, an unprecedented watch with 239 emerald-cut white diamonds, each weighing three carats, which was released with a price tag of $18 million. It caused such a sensation that the company did not hesitate to create a complete collection. Later came Billionaire II, which also became a unique piece thanks to its tourbillon movement set with 57 baguette-cut diamonds.
Then Billionaire III with 714 baguette-cut white diamonds, and only 18 pieces for a privileged few. Billionaire III Diamonds Rubies was another historic piece with 134 rubies. After exploring the options offered by Ashoka-cut diamonds, the New York-based fine watchmaking brand now presents its latest launch with yellow diamonds, which are much less common than white diamonds, and also much more expensive.
To make this luxurious watch, the brand spent three and a half years searching for yellow diamonds all over the world. The aim was to create a watch with absolute colour harmony: 880 carats of Asscher-cut yellow diamonds, which were then made into 425 hand-set pieces; 76 emerald-cut tsavorites, 57 baguette-cut yellow diamonds. An unprecedented achievement in the history of luxury watchmaking.
