This is what Kizz Daniel’s new song with Becky G sounds like

The result is a perfect fusion between Latin and African rhythms but without neglecting the construction and development of a global sound.

This is what Kizz Daniel’s new song with Becky G sounds like

Kizz Daniel re-releases his iconic “Cough” with Becky G, one of the most successful Latin pop artists of the moment. The collaboration is now available on all digital platforms via Flyboy Inc / EMPIRE.

Nigerian Kizz Daniel is one of the most recognized faces of the Afrobeat scene and one of the most streamed artists in Africa. He has been nominated for over 30 awards, 6 of them this year, and has won 3 Headies and 4 Nigerian Entertainment Awards. Now he continues to add successes with this new collaboration with one of the most influential artists of Latin pop: Becky G.

The chosen track is “Cough”, one of Kizz Daniel’s best known songs with more than 200 million plays. This time the hit song returns retaining the elements that conquered the public at the time but within the framework of a completely new reinterpretation. Both artists, Kizz Daniel and Becky G, have been able to incorporate the roots of their cultures into the song.

With this release Becky G joins a list of collaborations that includes names such as Diplo, Sarkodie, Wizkid, Davido, Nasty C, Diamond Platnumz, Phillkeyz, Demmie Vee, Dj Xclusive or Wretch 32. An eclectic catalog of Nigerian and international artists that prove the versatility of the sound that the Nigerian performer has been able to create.

The truth is that this release continues in the wake of what has been a great year for Kizz Daniel. During the first half of 2022, he was positioned as the most streamed artist on the African continent, culminating in his performance during the World Cup Final in Qatar. In addition, his tracks “Buga” and the original version of “Cough (Odo)” rose to No. 1 on Shazam.

In addition to this recent collaboration, the artist has just announced that in the coming months will take place the release of his new studio album. A work that comes with great expectations if we take into account that his second album “No Bad Songz” (2018) rose to number 1 just 24 hours. And which was followed by “King of Love” (2020) and “Barnabas” EP (2021), releases that earned him more than one nomination.

The case of the murder of rapper Tupac is reopened.
