This season Supreme remembers and celebrates MF DOOM

The iconic rapper, songwriter and producer became an Underground Hip-Hop icon in the 2000s.

His twisted verses and elaborate wordplay, as well as his iconic mask, led MF DOOM to worldwide recognition in the music industry. Born in London, he moved to the big city of New York when he was still very young and it was there that he began his professional career as a member of the hip-hop trio KMD. After the death of one of the group’s members, the group disbanded and Daniel Dumile – that was his first name – disappeared from the public scene, only to re-emerge in the late 1990s as a solo artist wearing a mask of Marvel Comics supervillain Doctor Doom, which quickly became his trademark. With more than eight albums under his belt and countless collaborations, the rapper is one of the most important figures in hip-hop history.

His death in 2020 from complications caused by a prescription blood pressure medication shocked the world, and three years later Supreme has decided to pay tribute to his legacy with a limited edition capsule collection. It features a hoodie, T-shirt and hat decorated with character highlights and a handwritten note from him.

The MF DOOM x Supreme collaboration will be released on 7 September at supreme.com and in the New York label’s physical shops.
