Pepa Salazar presented her new SS25 collection at a meeting at Espacio INELCOM. The hostess, with her characteristic disruptive stamp, brought together her closest circle, creating an atmosphere that fused fashion, music and art. Among the attendees, figures such as Úrsula Corberó, Anna Castillo, María Escarmiento, Judeline and the omnipresent Los Javis, dazzled with their presence and, of course, their looks, debuting the designer’s latest designs. Also in attendance were Greta Fernández, Miranda Makaroff, Mirela Balic, Yenesi and Helena Tejedor, all of whom wore the collection for the first time.
The event, which brought together more than 100 friends and well-known faces from the creative community, began with an intimate dinner hosted by Michelin Star and Sol Repsol Chef Alejandro Serrano, who offered an exclusive menu that preceded the big party. And, as the night broke out, the rave atmosphere took over, with DJs Ellen Allien, Erwan Sene, Slim Soledad and Seretide keeping the beat going until the early hours of the morning. But, as expected, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of Salazar’s new collection, which was the talk of the town.
In a context where aesthetic perfection seems to be the rule, Pepa Salazar brings a risky proposal: the HangoverCore. This new vision of fashion defies conventions, embracing an aesthetic that flows between indifference and a carefree attitude, but at the same time full of character, security and authenticity. For the designer, beauty lies in that unique confidence that is expressed in the freedom not to follow rules. It is a manifesto of rebellion against the established, a ‘not belonging’ that translates into pieces that challenge and question the human body, creating a fluid and chameleon-like silhouette.
The SS25 collection plays with the idea of moulages that embrace the body, the characteristic draping that enhances the shapes and the fabrics that adapt organically to the female figure. Details that take us back to the world of surfing and the beach: Hawaiian prints, tie-dye dresses in soft tones and asymmetrical T-shirts. The oversized designs and the men’s garments, adapted through knots, reinforce the ‘borrowed’ feeling that captures the essence of the collection so well. The accessories are also an explosion of creativity: references to hentai and cartoons with the iconic ‘I love you, I know’ generate an interplay between comics and haute couture, creating a synergy between the past and the future.
