It will recognise the talents of American jewellery designers who are committed to inclusion within the design industry.
The iconic jewellery house has partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America to elevate jewellery design to a higher status similar to womenswear and menswear, highlighting the work of designers who specialise in this unique artistic discipline.
The procedure will be as follows: selected participants will receive tutorials and practical exercises where they will learn the different techniques and creative processes of Tiffany & Co., and will then be judged by a select committee of experts on their work and their meticulousness when it comes to design.
Members of this prestigious jury include the company’s executive vice president of product, industrial communications Alexandre Arnault; board member and CFDA advocate Bethann Hardison; Sotheby’s vice president of jewellery Frank Everett; actress Gabrielle Union; creative director and stylist Jahleel Weaver; founder and creative director Jason Wu; supermodel and actress Joan Smalls; artistic director of jewellery and fine jewellery at Tiffany & Co. Nathalie Verdeille and Snap Inc. global director of fashion and beauty Rajni Jacques.
The winner will be awarded a one-year scholarship in the design department of the jewellery house and a prize of $50,000.
