His surprise came when he discovered the label sewn onto one of the garments.

@emmasilverman4 is the protagonist of this story that has already gone viral on social media. The 21-year-old, who bought the Jaded London total look on an official website, discovered a few days after wearing it that the top had a Shein label sewn into it.

“I rocked that shit. I looked bomb and got so many compliments. Well, it’s from Shein,” she says in the clip while showing how the inside label on the side belongs to the fast-fashion giant. “I bought it on the damn website. It was out of stock and suddenly I saw they had it in my size. I could have bought it from Shein for about $10….. Can someone explain it to me? I’m so confused.”

The British brand was quick to comment on the publication, claiming that it has “no partnership with Shein”. However, in the Corporate Social Responsibility section of its website, it is clear that it works “with a number of factories around the world” and that the “majority of its pieces are produced in China, Morocco and Turkey”.
