The exclusive presentation event took place at the Etnia Barcelona Flagship Store in Barcelona, attended by some of the most celebrated personalities on the current art scene.
If there is one thing that unites Etnia Barcelona and Toiletpaper, it is their passion for fashion, art, culture, imagination and, above all, surrealism. Now, their imaginations merge intensely to give rise to a limited edition capsule made up of three unprecedented silhouettes: ‘Dolly’, ‘Roses 1’ and ‘Roses 2’.
Three different styles that maintain the same pop essence thanks to their original designs with floral prints and vibrant colours. A celebration of self-expression that materialises in meticulous details such as the recognisable roses with a Toiletaper doll’s eye that, in the case of the ‘Dolly’ model, appears printed in 3D and, when you close the glasses, it blinks. Available in ivory white, bubblegum pink and black, they’re the cutest way to mix aesthetics and function, with metal frames that secure the frame to the temple and logo details that appear when exposed to mist.
For the more daring who don’t want to go unnoticed, the ‘Roses’ version is the ultimate. They come in two combinations of prints and colours and are reversible. They have been designed in Mazzuchelli acetate and feature a wrap-around structure that serves as a direct gateway to the Toiletpaper universe.
And to celebrate this special meeting, Etnia Barcelona‘s Flagship Store, in the heart of the Born, became the epicentre of the cultural scene with the presentation of the new capsule collection. A collaboration that fuses the eccentric surrealism of the Italian magazine with the irreverence and detail characteristic of Barcelona‘s most influential independent eyewear brand.
The event, which brought together more than 250 attendees, was anything but conventional. A vibrant celebration brimming with creativity, marked by a showcase by singer Maria Hein, pizza chefs who took ‘culinary art’ to another level, surprising performances and even futuristic predictions by tarot reader Check-in-Mela. Of course, there were live illustrations by artist Sergio Dosal and unexpected details such as balloon twisting, which added a touch of fantasy to the evening.
Among the most prominent faces in attendance were Martina Cariddi, Miranda Makaroff, Carlos Cuevas, Greta Fernández, Nina Urgell, Juan Betancourt and photographer Gerard Estadella. Cult creatives and influencers such as Marc Forné, Inés Arroyo and the iconic Jordi Labanda also made an appearance, consolidating the event as a must on the cultural agenda.
