On 16 August, thousands attended the presentation of the FW25 collection by Topshop and Topman. In true “See Now, Buy Now” style, some pieces were available immediately, while others served as a preview of what’s to come later in the season.
The collection focused on sharp tailoring, structured outerwear and statement dresses, all with a strong 80s influence. Coordinated sets, long fur coats, jumpsuits and bold shoulders appeared in fabrics ranging from lace to patchwork-effect shearling.
Denim, a Topshop signature, also played a central role. The iconic Jamie and Joni jeans returned with updated cuts and washes. The brand also introduced what it calls “redefined modern utility”, pairing checked coats with pleated trousers and mixing cargo pants with striped shirts.
“This show today was a love letter to London. The return of Topshop.com is more than a relaunch; it is a reinvention. And this is only the beginning,” said Michelle Wilson, CEO of Topshop and Topman.
Topshop.com went live again on 15 August after months of downtime. For now, the site is available only in the UK, with a wide offer that includes a curated selection by Cara Delevingne. She was also front row at the show, alongside Adwoa Aboah, designer Tolu Coker and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Khan’s attendance followed a social media post from March, when he shared memories of shopping with his daughters at Topshop’s former Oxford Street flagship — sparking speculation about a possible reopening. While Wilson has not confirmed this, she announced semi-permanent retail spaces from August and new wholesale partnerships across Europe. Retailers such as McElhinneys (Ireland), Printemps (France) and Zeb (Belgium) have already confirmed the brand’s return to their shelves.
From Trafalgar Square, Topshop seals its comeback with London at the centre.
