When the colourful and carefree universe of Havaianas collides with the provocative and rebellious imaginary of TwoJeys, the result can only be one: a collaboration destined to set the pulse of the summer. TwoJeys x Havaianas is not just another collection. It is a declaration of intent that crystallises in three new versions of the Top model, the Carioca brand’s most renowned model, now impregnated with the industrial, galactic and audacious energy that defines the TwoJeys universe. Deep black, jungle green and vibrant yellow are combined with the iconic star-shaped metallic details – symbol of the Catalan brand – in shades of yellow+green or blue+red. The result: a free-spirited, urban silhouette with an almost punk attitude.
Behind the creative concept of the campaign we find a narrative that crosses oceans: from the beaches of Brazil to the burning pavement of Barcelona, passing through a solar imaginary inspired by Hawaii. Photographer Aidan Cullen has created a visual story that goes beyond the lookbook: it is a sensory journey starring Alika Mock and Margo Millen, faces that embody the wild and magnetic youth who are not afraid to take risks. The result is a technicolour universe, where every image seems to shout: this is summer, but not as you know it.
‘The launch of Isla Bonita is one of the most awaited moments for us,’ explain Joan Margarit and Biel Juste, founders of TwoJeys. “We wanted to include a piece that was essential, that spoke the language of our community and at the same time represented that mix of nineties nostalgia, industrial aesthetics and total freedom. The TwoJeys x Havaianas flip-flops have it all”.
For its part, Havaianas has a clear commitment: to connect with a new generation without renouncing its heritage. “This partnership represents a strategic alignment of shared values. It is the fusion of our Brazilian tradition with the language of a brand that lives on the streets of Europe, between aftershocks, motorbikes and urban sunsets,” says Harm van de Camp, president of Alpargatas Europe. “We don’t just take flip-flops beyond the beach, we also give them meaning and character.
The collection will be available from 1 May at 21:00h on the TwoJeys website, and from 2 May in the brand’s physical shops.
