Entitled ‘Hey Guy’, the remix comes just in time to close out the year.
A gift that arrived on Christmas Day itself in the form of a song in which the creative artist lets loose with total freedom over Kendrick‘s instrumental. In the music video, directed by himself and shot in the dark streets of his hometown, Hawthorne, California, he shares the screen with his inseparable Odd Future colleagues: Jasper Dolphin, Travis ‘Taco’ Bennett and Lionel ‘L-Boy’ Boyce. In one scene, the four of them try to ride a bike down an empty street, while Tyler drops bars that refer to both growing up and hip hop culture. And if there’s one thing that characterises him, it’s that he doesn’t mince words, and in ‘Hey Guy’ he mocks his peers, boasts about his success, his influence and his wealth.
The creative artist once again opens the doors to his unique imaginary, demonstrating once again why he is one of the most acclaimed artists on the current scene.
