During his headlining performance on Saturday night (13 April) at Coachella, the rapper once again proved that he is one of the best artists of today. For the 80-minute set, the stage was transformed into a desert. The projection housed such striking images as a desert rainstorm, a huge silver moon against a purple sky, a fiery hellscape and a sci-fi setting complete with flying saucer.
Childish Gambino became the first special guest of the night when he came out to duet with Tyler on “Running Out of Time,” a song from 2019’s IGOR album. Tyler later explained, “I used to hate that neg… I really did. I don’t know why, I need to go to therapy to work it out. But this neg… put out this song called ‘Urn’… I was conflicted with myself, like… how could a neg… that I hate so much make something so good?” Clearly, that beef is in the past.
The same situation was repeated with A$AP Rocky. The rapper joined Tyler to perform two tracks, “Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy.” Tyler admitted that he had once had some controversy with A$AP Rocky: “I used to hate that nigga… too… we thought we had a problem”. As the rapper went on to explain, “it was the niggas around us” that caused the problem, “and then Rock and I were like, ‘We love each other and we’re friends now'”.
Nusar3000 releases the first preview of their debut album called ‘Naskar’.
