As it does every year, Mercedes-Benz presents its sustainability award to a jury of fashion experts.
On this occasion, the jury was formed by Glenn Martens (Diesel – Y/Project) and Cosima Gadient and Christa Bösch (Ottolinger), who decided that the winner would be the German designer Valentin Lessner. The award was presented during the Festival d’Hyères and is a recognition of responsible fashion design as well as a €20,000 grant.
“Our brand has been globally committed to fashion for almost 30 years and we are very pleased to continue to support international talent. We warmly congratulate Valentin on winning our Mercedes-Benz Sustainability Award 2022 and recognize his passion for responsible design,” said Julia Hofmann, Head of Branded Entertainment & Brand Partnerships at Mercedes-Benz AG.
