Vans resurrects the archival ‘Speed LS’ silhouette from the 90s

The Speed LS, an archival silhouette from the Fall 1998 women’s skate line, is now being redesigned by the Californian brand for a fleeting run on the streets this spring.

Vans updates the version of this model that evokes the skate aesthetics of the late 90s through a construction in sync with the current era. An avant-garde transformation that would already mirror Supreme’s June 2023 iteration.

This latest redesign is sheathed in a series of classic colourways to match and elevate all outfits in the skater community, combining suede and mesh uppers that reflect their original aesthetic.

In terms of detailing, moulded branding on the tongue, a modernised mid-’90s sole and exaggerated side stripe finish off the design of the new ‘Speed LS’ which are available now from the official VANS website.
