We attended the presentation of Mathilde Favier’s book ‘Living Beautifully in Paris’

Dior’s Global Celebrity Director guides us on an exciting journey through the French capital.

This morning took place in Madrid the presentation of the book ‘Living Beautifully in Paris’, which we had the great pleasure of attending to meet and listen to its author Mathilde Favier. Coming from one of the most creative families in the city, the Global PR Director of the Maison has always been surrounded by the most relevant and exclusive personalities of society in the fields of fashion, beauty, art, design and gastronomy, so we can say with absolute certainty that she was born for it.

After many years in charge of establishing strong connections between Dior and the most important international celebrities of the moment, Mathilde has decided to embark on a new adventure – without neglecting her essential duties at the House – and present her first book with the aim of paying tribute to the vibrant city of Paris and all those people who manage to inspire it on a daily basis.

The publication brings together an exclusive selection of private spaces, shops, studios, residences and kitchens that make the French capital a unique and historic enclave. It also includes a series of interviews conducted by the acclaimed journalist Frédérique Dedet and numerous unpublished photographs and documents, some by Pascal Chevallier, which immortalise the essence of Paris as we have never seen it before.

“I thought of this book as a way of preserving a particular idea of Paris and an art of living that has been passed down from generation to generation. The family customs and habits of my Parisian childhood are still with me, shaping my way of being, and I wanted to pass them on to future generations,” says Favier.
