“We Gave the World an Original. You Gave Us a Thousand Back” is the new adidas Originals campaign.

A tribute to all those figures who have elevated the brand’s iconic shamrock to the forefront of culture.

In this new adidas Originals global campaign, Daniel Wolfe brings his unique vision to the Superstar while mentoring emerging directors Will Dhorn and Justyna Obasic, who demonstrate the cultural revolution that the Gazelle and Samba silhouettes have brought to contemporary culture.

The adidas Originals shamrock has lived a thousand lives and has conquered every corner of the planet in its more than 50 years of life. From athletes to artists, the most important international figures have defended the brand’s codes. Now, in 2023, we prepare for a new era that pays tribute to all those who have brought the iconic shamrock to the forefront of culture.

Under the title ‘We Gave the World an Original. You Gave Us a Thousand Back’, adidas Originals continues to stand the test of time and welcomes a new chapter in its history with three videos created by three creative pioneers and triptychs starring three characters: the Superstar, the Gazelle and the Samba. Each of the audiovisual pieces focuses on each of these legendary models that have been adopted, reinterpreted and embraced by the public.

In this way, Daniel Wolfe, director and founder of production studio LoveSong, shares his own vision of the Superstar. Born for basketball but adopted by hip-hop and skateboarders, this silhouette changed the rules of the game, and today its premium design and recognisable look make it an undisputed icon.

In second place is the Gazelle, a model that has caused a sensation on podiums, catwalks and skateparks around the world. Its neat suede upper and rubber sole are everything you look for when choosing a trainer for everyday wear. Will Dohrn, a self-taught filmmaker, tells his story through a young man moving through time.

Last but not least is the Samba. Born on the football pitch, its low-cut structure and caramel-coloured rubber sole represent one of the most transgressive trends. Renowned visual artist Justyna Obasic has captured the mythical story of this silhouette through time.

3 bands. 3 exclusive icons. 3 videos. And a thousand Originals.
