The pleasure of a good banquet generates an altered state of consciousness, which transports us to a space in which the perception of the senses is diluted and disconnects us from reality. This is the sensation that talents, influential profiles and the media were able to experience at the Sobremesa Alucinada at La Corte.
A meeting in which a small group of guests were able to embark on an unrepeatable journey of new sensations to disconnect from the senses. Flavours, textures, liquid sounds… everything was designed to generate a pleasant and evocative, yet confusing experience, always with gastronomy as the common thread.
The moment of hallucination that has managed to take the exquisite after-dinner conversation, the format that defines the La Corte project, to the experiential. Also taking advantage of the meeting for the launch on all platforms of its next chapter starring Oscar Casas.
Thus, last night, La Estrella became a place of creation and freedom where, through music, gastronomy and the concept of hallucination, the guests were connected with the transgressive and transforming discourse of La Corte. With a menu, prepared by Ángela Giménez, winner of Master Chef, which accompanies the story of hallucination. Everything is trompe l’oeil and the elaborations were carried out around the table, which managed to flood the whole room with the smell.
The hallucinated encounter
In the hallucination of La Corte the light is dim and everything is soft and sparkling. Tastes, colours and smells are confused. Shapes are indistinct, everything seems to be in motion and the sounds lead to a calm state of ecstasy.
Guests enter the venue and are greeted with a cocktail that evokes a memory, an experience, a sensation. Its taste floods them to such an extent that they feel hallucinated and intoxicated, entering a state akin to reverie.
Suddenly there is a faint sound coming from the lower part of the room, attracted by it, the guests descend. The light is dim, it is difficult to see, but they manage to recognise what looks like a table, just above it there is a person singing, Beatrix Weapons accompanies the hallucination with an intimate and captivating performance. All around them there is food, but the senses are deceived, what seems sweet is salty, what seems to be drunk is eaten.
When the cocktail was coming to an end, the music increased in intensity and rhythm. A moment of disconnection from the context that brought the reverie to its peak. The guests connect with the flavours and the sound, nobody sees anybody, peace and anonymity. Gradually the pace slows down and everything becomes calm again. Awakening from reverie and reconnecting with reality – what a journey!
La Corte
La Corte was born with the purpose of giving voice to an emerging urban collective, lovers of gastronomy, trends and cultural movements that surround us. In a society in which relationships are increasingly digitalised, we want to turn the paradigm around by generating real and transformative connections on the main digital channels, through dynamic and attractive audiovisual content.
Wrapped in a fresh and distinctive aesthetic, in each episode we delve into the essence of the emerging and benchmark creators of the Z generation. Based on the altered state of consciousness and expansion of the senses, which provokes the pleasure of an exquisite banquet, the protagonists of the audiovisual pieces of La Corte share an intimate, unique and hallucinated after-dinner story.
Mariang is the first guest on the Court’s ‘Una Sobremesa Exquisita’.
