We have all searched for “Who is Raúl Clyde?” after being recommended by artists such as Quevedo, Saiko or C Marí in different interviews. After some research on the Internet, we discovered that he is one of the biggest promises of the national urban genre and that, as Los Xavales say, he is going to “hit it big this year”.
If we delve into his beginnings, the artist uploaded his first singles to both YouTube and Spotify in 2021. But it was in 2022 with his first EP: ‘Destino 2013’ when he began to take it more seriously and hung the sold out sign in his first shows. A track that marked a before and after in the Valencian’s career was undoubtedly his contribution to Saiko’s ‘Tuenti (Remix)’.
In March, the Valencian released a shared album with C Marí (Los Xavales) called ‘Mean Girls’, which was a great success. After this release, fans had not had the opportunity to enjoy a project by the artist until the summer when he presented “5 NIGHTS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN”.
An EP that Raul himself defines as: “a leap to professionalism and my candidacy to reach the big leagues”. A tracklist of five tracks that perfectly combines the two essences of the artist: that of the Mediterranean Sea and that of Puerto Rico, with a reggaeton that takes us to the next level.
With a short but meteoric trajectory, this EP marks a before and after in Raúl’s career. This work has earned him a place at renowned festivals such as the Reggaetón Beach Festival, the Bamboleo Festival, the Macarena Reggaeton Festival, the Riverland and the Fiesta Mayor in Barcelona. In addition to being the opening act for Mora on his tour of Spain.
With 1,190,154 monthly listeners on Spotify, it is clear that Raúl Clydes is coming on strong. And if not, listen to his latest EP ‘Las últimas 3 noches’ made up of the tracks Las Travis, Yailin and La Última Noche. We’ve been captivated not only by its fresh sound, but also by the visual imagery that the artist has been committed to since the beginning.
