Yohji Yamamoto x Guidi FW23: everything you need to know

Spotted during Yohji Yamamoto’s Autumn/Winter 2023 show for Paris Fashion Week, we take a closer look at the shoes in collaboration with legendary Italian footwear brand, Guidi.

There’s no denying that there are some things Italians do better than anyone else… One of them? Treating leather. Leather goods is one of the aspects that Italians master perfectly, and this is the origin of proposals such as those of the Guidi brand, which combines traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde aesthetics.

The eponymous brand of the iconic Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto echoes Guidi’s expertise and, as such, collaborates with the brand on three exclusive boot silhouettes that we had the pleasure of seeing first-hand during their Paris Fashion Week show.

The first silhouette is an ankle boot with a zip; the second is a sock boot in suede material and the last is a lace-up boot. To elevate the boots, Guidi has included a Goodyear stitched sole that combines with the Vibram system to significantly reduce the overall weight of the sole.
