Lotta Volkova: the underground stylist

For some time now, in the footer of the most underground fashion editorials we can read the name of Lotta Volkova. Sure some of you already know who we are talking. In HIGHXTAR. we believe it is time to talk about Lotta, who has earned the respect of the fashion industry.

Hace algún tiempo que en los pie de página de las editoriales de moda de las revistas más underground podemos leer el nombre de Lotta Volkova. Algunos de vosotros seguro que ya sabéis de quién estamos hablando. En HIGHXTAR. creemos que es la hora de hablar de Lotta, quién se ha ganado a pulso el respeto de la industria de la moda más «underground».

Lotta Volkova was born in Vladivostok and moved to London where she studied art, photography and fashion at Central Saint Martins. She started in the fashion industry with her own brand «Lotta Skeletrix» in 2004 and it quickly got picked up by Rei Kawakubo and stocked at the Dover Street Market in London… Can you start better?

Lotta Volkova nació en Vladivostok y se trasladó a Londres, donde estudió arte, fotografía y moda en la prestigiosa Central Saint Martins. Se inició en la industria de la moda con su propia marca «Lotta Skeletrix» en 2004 y rápidamente fue «fichada» por Rei Kawakubo e introducida en Dover Street Market… ¿Se puede empezar mejor?

She has not only walked in Vetements shows for the past few seasons, she’s also styled them. Aside from her work with Gvasalia and her pal, star Russian streetwear designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, she’s also busy doing fashion shoots for publications like Re-Edition and Dazed & Confused with some of fashion’s top photographers, including Juergen Teller or Willy Vanderperre.

Lotta no sólo ha desfilado para Vetements en las últimas temporadas sino que también ha sido la responsable del estilismo. Además de su trabajo con Gvasalia y con su amigo, el diseñador ruso estrella de streetwear, Gosha Rubchinskiy, también ha estado ocupada haciendo sesiones fotográficas con publicaciones de renombre como: Re-Edition y Dazed & Confused lo que la ha llevado a trabajar con algunos de los mejores fotógrafos de moda: Juergen Teller o Willy Vanderperre.
