Perks and Mini (P.A.M) is a lifestyle brand based in Melbourne, Australia. Created by married designers Shauna Toohey and Mischa Hollenbach nearly 15 years ago.

P.A.M.’s work is distributed and exhibited internationally, attracting the attention of some of the globe’s most influential art and fashion leaders” such as artist Marina Abramovic, Sarah Lerfel (Colette Paris) who has stocked P.A.M. since their inaugural collection, and Chris Dercon (Director of the Tate Modern London) who was quoted as saying “Perks and Mini I consider as one of the strongest fashion designers in the world right now”

Chris Dercon was so impressed by husband-and-wife team Misha Hollenbach and Shauna Toohey, after viewing their work at the *Weltkulturen Museum in Frankfurt, he arranged to meet them and has since purchased several archival pieces for the Tate.

Around 2000, when founded P.A.M., they felt there was something missing in streetwear, which was the fun and colour of rave. With a joint love of aliens, the Sun Ra and ideas of changing the world, the pair soon gained a sterling reputation for their innovative use of print and colour in their clothing collections. They’re not a conventional fashion company, the majority of the fashion establishment don’t know they exist, but they don’t matter; that’s not what they’re searching for.
Entorno al año 2000, cuando fundaron P.A.M., sintieron que algo faltada dentro del streetwear, era la diversión y color. Con un amor en común por los alien, el Sol Ra e ideas de cambiar el mundo, la pareja pronto se ganó un excelente reconocimiento por su innovación en el uso de los gráficos y el color dentro de sus colecciones. No son una marca convencional de moda, la mayor parte de la industria no saben ni que existen, pero eso a ellos no les preocupa ya que no es lo que buscan.
Perks and Mini are consistently pushing the boundaries of classic street wear, and for creating innovative and forward thinking womenswear and menswear collections. Something that caught our attention is the presence of pink in their collections; we have discovered that they conceive it as the complete opposite to black and therefore so easy to dress like this.
Perks and Mini está constantemente ampliando las fronteras del streetwear clásico con el objetivo crear colecciones innovadoras y con visión de futuro para el hombre y la mujer. Algo que nos llamó la atención es la presencia del rosa en sus colecciones; hemos descubierto que lo conciben como lo completamente opuesto al negro y por lo tanto tan fácil de vestir como este.

They have a long list of collaborators (all visionaries in their chosen fields); friends who have a mutual understanding of the P.A.M dimension; Undercover, Mike Kelley, Fergadelic, Genevive Gauckler, Soulwax (2 Many DJ’s) and Sofia Prantera (Silas) to name but a few. The success of the label has led to collaborations with streetwear heavyweights like Carhartt, Adidas, Babylon LA, Vans and Stussy.
