Kyle Ng, the creator of Brain Dead, has teamed up with hiking brand ROA to reinterpret the Neals, one of his most iconic silhouettes. We tell you the details of this latest collaboration.

After presenting its first drop of the SS21 season in February, Brain Dead is back with a new release. This time, it’s a collaboration with hiking brand ROA, in which both brands have joined synergies to present an updated version of the Neal silhouette. This shoe, originally conceived by ROA, is now presented with a furry finish and signature Brain Dead details.

The Neal is a staple in the Italian hiking brand’s offering, and Kyle Ng has given it a twist through new textures and colors. As a result, the newly launched model is characterized by its materials, calfskin and polyester, which contribute to its furry texture. The gray safari-like print that is present throughout the sneaker is also another new feature of the model. And if we look at the details, the toggle laces and the logos of each brand stand out, that of ROA, which appears in white next to the toes, and that of Bran Dead, located on a green gel insignia on the heel. On the other hand, the more technical particularities are found in the EVA midsoles, which are coupled with solid Vibram rubber to ensure a more secure and lightweight tread.
