Alexander Wang had prepared for this year a succession of collections and celebrations. Due to its 15th anniversary, the firm was going to organize a big party: #Wangfest 2020. Thus, and adapting to the current situation, has launched its new collection through a lookbook photographed by Steve Klein that celebrates this year.

For Alexander Wang (@alexanderwangny) this year was going to be an epic explosion of sensations. This year, 2020, he was going to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his firm. However, he has had to adapt his agenda to the pandemic and stick to this new normality. However, he has not left aside his most creative side. This is demonstrated in “Shot to Shop“, his new collection for FW20.

Shot to Shop” is exhibited in lookbook format, photographed by Steve Klein and modelled by Adesuwa Aighewi, Anna Ewers, Anok Yai, Binx Walton and Gigi Hadid.

The collection is presented as the best option for nightlife where the hours do not pass and the sun does not rise. With this new release, Wang continues his legacy of reworking the urban style. The Ready-to-wear garments join with his more street T By line, creating a formal-informal combination that is unimaginable. That’s why this collection is the perfect expression that brings together the best of two decades: the 90s and the present. Some of the protagonists are worn-out jeans, pointed shoes, deconstructed dresses and loose-fitting garments.

Undoubtedly, “Shot to Shop” has a series of pieces that promote dancing and meetings. There may not be an anniversary party, but this collection is the closest thing to one.
