Vans’ new silhouette comes to life in Dime’s signature colours. The Wayvee, designed from the ground up with input from skateboarders who know what it means to push the boundaries of style and progression. For this release, Vans has partnered with Dime Skateboards to create two colourways; highlighting the evolution of this new silhouette in the realms of performance and style, all highlighted with Dime’s signature yellow hue. The Wayvee is constructed with an all-new upper featuring reinforced translucent mesh quarters for maximum breathability and flexibility, and a DURACAP toe cap for extended shoe life. The LuxLiner inner lining provides a sock-like fit for added support and comfort.
Based on Vans‘ revolutionary Wafflecup outsole, the Wayvee gives skaters the sole support they need. So they’ll get the vulcanised board feel they demand, all in one shoe. The result is incredible flexibility, durability and maximum impact.
In collaboration with Dime, a brand that sits comfortably at the intersection of fashion and skateboarding; Vans brings this iteration of the Wayvee to life in two colourways: night blue and red. Luxe suede and embroidered Vans and Dime logos offer an elevated look; while Dime‘s signature yellow runs across the insole and “Off The Wall” heel crust. Finally, the transparent outsole makes a statement of intent.
Dime started as a small group of skateboarders filming clips in their hometown of Montreal, Canada and quickly became one of skateboarding’s most influential brands. Known for prioritising humour, Dime‘s skate videos have a nostalgic 90s aesthetic that won the hearts of the skate scene worldwide. Their annual Dime Glory Challenge presented by Vans is one of the funniest and craziest skateboarding events around; cementing Dime‘s position as a cultural force to be reckoned with.
