The world of fashion lives on collaborations, but the one announced today has surprised us. The most baroque Italian house, extravagant, joins the brand synonymous with streetwear and avant-garde: Gucci x Comme des Garçons.
Gucci and Comme des Garçons together, yes, you read it well. The fashion house under the direction of Alessandro Michele uses Rei Kawakubo‘s project to experiment and venture into uncharted territories. The two fashion giants have created a PVC-coated paper shopper, with the CDG logo and the iconic vertical strip of green-red-green Gucci. The product made in Japan will become an essential piece for this season, as well as an icon for the coming years.
The bag has been launched today, November 23rd, exclusively in Japan at Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market Ginza, but quietly will reach everyone next December 6th.
Another new need that adds to the unbridled consumerism referred to in this article.
