424 by Guillermo Andrade metaphorically alludes to the “American Dream” in his latest collection in which he has a collaboration with the artist Benjamín Marra.
The lookbook has been photographed in Los Angeles by the brothers Guillermo, Andrew and Benjamín Andrade and pays a kind of tribute to the creator of the space, Lucio Fontana. In it, they incorporate the inspiration of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. The neurotic devotion that Bateman pours into his own success, while inside he is absolutely unhinged, summarises the finishes, the processes connected with the death and anguish of this latest collection.
“The S/S ’20 collection features classic 424 silhouettes with unique nods to the work-wear heritage of America, unique monochrome illustrations by Marra don the clothing with a style reminiscent of such artists as Paul Gulacy, Herb Trimpe and Spain Rodriguez. The social commentary present in Andrade’s collections and incredibly apt references to the crazy world we occupy could not be more relevant than now.”
The new 424 collection is now available at your online store and at selected retailers.
