The photographer Juergen Teller shoots and stars in the collaborative campaign of Asics and Kiko Kostadinov for the new GEL-KORIKA.
The legacy of the union between Japanese sportswear Asics and designer Kiko Kostadinov continues to spread its wings. The latest drop has been the model GEL-KORIKA, with a campaign that plays with folklore in which the photographer Juergen Teller has been the protagonist on set and off set.
The sneakers appear in different traditional and local settings, with Teller looking carefree away from the aesthetic canons of traditional fashion campaigns. A wheat field, a hotel bathroom and a fountain are some of the sets chosen for a shooting that reveals the effortless and functional essence that Asics is focusing on with this new shape. Jamie Reid from Dazed, in charge of the artistic direction, is also responsible for the result.
Asics GEL-KORIKA play with the dad-shoes trend and set themselves apart from the modern chunky maximalism, faithful to their retro-running spirit. They incorporate FlyteFoam sole and a range of techniques that provide the greatest comfort designed for the lifestyle. There are colorways for all tastes: one total-black, another in metallic silver, and two others in a combination of vibrant and striking tones.
Asics GEL-KORIKA will go on sale on November 16.
