First seen at Ronnie’s KITH Air Fashion show this year, the just-landed collection portrays Fieg’s likes for childhood emblems. The classy range of pieces offers Mickey’s from all eras, drawing a historical line through KITH’s designs.
Though Disney is pretty open to collaborate with all kinds of artists and creatives, we’ve never seen such freedom for a collaborator before in the use of Disney’s icons.
With a heavy presence of denim and a palette of basic tones like reds, black and white, KITH x Disney is all about cozyness and very wearable creations for a daily use. This collaboration is a trip through eight decades of Mickey Mouse, presenting his different looks in Fieg’s pieces. From “Steamboat Willie” (1920) to “Running Mickey” (1930) or “Fantasia” (1940), the omnipresent mouse Walter created is all over the garments. Printed, embroidered or even in a bling-over-denim design, Disney’s identity is well represented. Double pocket hoodies, trucker jackets, and kimonos are some of the pieces included in the collection.
But clothes ain’t the only thing cause, as usual, Ronnie Fieg’s including a range of Chuck 70s to match them. From black leather, to white canvas or black&red color blocked Sherpa style high tops, this trio is a killer option when going for a new pair of Chucks. The first two iterations come with a transition of the Mickey Mouse cartoon through the years decorating the upper. The Sherpa one is a rendition to the traditional tones we’ve seen in the most renowned mouse ever.
