Lacoste has presented its Autumn/Winter 2020 collection with a fashion show at the Paris Tennis Club. Creative director Louise Trotter gives a new air to the sports style, impregnating the classics with a certain future aesthetic, all without losing any of the eternal French heritage.
The collection radiates a perfect, athletic ease. Lacoste’s green and navy blue blend with ochre and clay from the clay, mint green, sky blue, caramel pink, orange and lemon, in a lively palette that evokes our collective memories of weekend tournaments, matches with friends and the off-court uniforms of elite sportsmen. Comfort is today’s luxury, the focus returns to the body. Blazers and sweatpants in technical jersey and brushed knitwear play with classic patterns and blend with Prince of Wales prints, crow’s feet and Vichy checks.
A bet in which Trotter once again demonstrates that she has managed to interpret the classic codes of the house, updating them for a market that is sensitive to fashion but does not want to lose the heritage of the crocodile.
Among the outstanding pieces are the reinterpretation of the original L1212 polo shirt and the 1980 T-Clip sneakers. Below you can see the complete collection and continue to enjoy how Louise Trotter raises Lacoste.
