CamperLab has now presented the 2020 autumn-winter collection by the avant-garde design of Achilles Ion Gabriel. The experimental footwear brand is updating iconic archive silhouettes like the Chelsea or Derby of the Mallorcan house, and presenting them in a lookbook as sculptural pieces alongside elements of an antique house.
Following Camper‘s line of namings for each of his shoes, we have in this new episode a runner-inspired silhouette called Simon. Sheathed in a retro look and a combination of leather and textiles, it’s configured with a square toe design. It is available in red, yellow and green.
The Ground stands out from the crowd for its sole developed in collaboration with Michelin. Its canvas upper is accentuated with metallic details and a wrap-around seam that improves durability. The silhouette is available in a multicolored fabric with a burgundy sole, as well as in a b&w range.
In that universe of reimagining timeless styles by Camper’s laboratory, you can find the classic loafers and the Chelsea boots made of leather. The outsole combines rubber and EVA for improved grip and flexibility.
The most minimal version is worn by Traktori boots and Derby shoes bathed in monochromatic tones. Inspired by the boots of Mallorcan farmers, they are made with a rubber sole and a leather upper. Finally, the Juanita model makes a remake of the woman’s heel in a 4.0 sculptured version.
Check out the full AW20 lookbook above. The complete collection will be available on the CamperLab website and in their physical stores from September.
