Air Max Day has revived one of the most edible silhouettes from the swoosh archive, known as “Bacon”. Designed in 2004 by Dave Ortiz and Chris Keef in collaboration with Dave’s Quality Meat, the sneaker is inspired by the different shades of bacon.
The return of the Nike Air Max 90 comes sheathed in two prominent colorways such as “Sail” and “Straw”. The red in the midfoot also adds to the game of recreating the shades of the bacon slice. The two-tone midsole, in tan and brown, as well as the Air Max unit in bright pink finish off the look of the iteration.
The sneaker, which arrives in a packaging similar to a butcher’s wrapper, can be customized through a series of laces in different colors.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” will be available from March 26 at Nike SNKRS for a price of 140 euros.
