As every year at this time, we already know the finalists of the LVMH Prize. London designer Bianca Saunders and Colm Dillane of Kidsuper are among the 9 finalists this year.
After being cancelled last year because of the pandemic, last month we were able to meet those 20 candidates for the semi-final. Following this new vote, we finally have the list of these nine finalists for the LVMH prize.
London based Saunders, one of the brightest, shares this last phase with Colombian Kika Vargas and Kidsuper’s Colm Dillane. Also in the final round are Christopher John Rogers, Connaqer Ives, Charles de Vilmorin, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Nensi Dojaka and Rui Zhou de Rui.
The winner of the LVMH award will receive a grant of 300,000 euros and personalized assistance in the development of their brand, for a period of twelve months. This assistance is available in all areas of expertise that may be of interest to a rising fashion house (production and distribution, image and communication, marketing, intellectual property, etc.).
If it has already been an achievement to reach this level, LVMH has also announced an added surprise. Both 24S and SSENSE will work with a select group of the nine finalists on a unique capsule collection.
The final will take place in Paris later this year. In the meantime we will have to wait and see the works of the young designers vying for this year’s LVMH prize.
