The New York label has just unveiled its proposal for the fall-winter 2021 season. Supreme presents the new collection through a minimalist lookbook that focuses on the new eclectic pieces, as well as on the models who star in it: Sage Elsesser and Mathias Sauvageon.
The FW21 series is represented, in harmony with its archive, by a mix of patterns, patchwork, and prints that draw from multiple references. The designs receive, in this sense, creative stimuli ranging from art to sport or music.
Supreme includes in the collection a series of garments highlighted in collaboration with the New York Yankees, with GORE-TEX jackets. Artistic inspirations come in the form of soccer jerseys with artwork by Tadanori Yokoo and STASH graffiti branded on the Varsity jacket or Ripstop nylon pants. The works of Lady Pink or Christopher Wool also inhabit this hybrid universe on garments such as sweatshirts, sweatpants, or knitted T-shirts.
SUPREME’s foray into the world of music translates into a Photo Tee featuring Rick Rubin, as well as a GORE-TEX Shell jacket celebrating Nas and DMX. The jacquard graphic of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme on a denim jacket and jeans also helps to enhance the capsule.
The streetwear brand has also designed a Skittles outfit with a letterman jacket and baseball jersey in collaboration with Mitchell & Ness.
Supreme’s FW21 collection will be released weekly, starting with a first installment on August 19.
