Courrèges is one of those fashion brands that after remaining for a while in the background, has regained the place it deserved, thanks in part to the signing of its current creative director, Nicolas di Felice, and his good and different creations. And it is that the Belgian fashion designer, has known how to capture to the perfection, which was what this emblematic signature needed to go afloat. Well, said and done, and the objective was achieved, as this is precisely what the creator has achieved with his latest Spring/Summer 22 collection for the brand.
Held in a park on the outskirts of Paris, Nicolas summoned there all those privileged to attend the show. But why there? No more and no less than because of the significance of the place for him, since that is where he kissed for the first time with his boyfriend.
Based on the idea of celebrating his show as a big party and being inspired by a space-age rave, Di felice presented a collection that we can already categorise as one of the best of this edition of Paris Fashion Week (PFW). Composed of 33 looks and with colours such as black and white as protagonists, Nicolas paid special attention to the outerwear, as we can see, the first three looks that opened the show were mainly composed of ponchos in different colours and sizes, ideal to wear during the festival season. We can’t forget or overlook the cropped vinyl jackets, the long ribbed knitted trousers or the redesigned 60’s style dresses, some of them with slits, paired with chunky heeled sandals.
What do you think of Nicolas Di Felice’s latest collection for Courrèges? You already know our opinion, now it’s your turn.
