The emerging clothing label founded in Berlin in 2020 by German techno DJ and producer Max Kobosil, 44 Label Group, was one of the latest to join the official Milan menswear fashion week (MFW) calendar and debut its Autumn/Winter 22/23 collection.
Titled “Screwed up”, taking inspiration from the failure that its founder encountered along the way and successfully combining it with club culture, Kobosil has managed to pay homage to the underground style and the style that predominated in his neighbourhood. Furthermore, Max has not only made this tribute, but he has also wanted to pay homage to his neighbourhood, using its postcode as the title of his brand to remember where he comes from and the personal journey he has experienced to get where he is, as we should remember that 44 Label Group began with a line of merchandising made up mostly of T-shirts.
True to his origins, the now designer has continued to pay attention to the garments with which he started, the t-shirts with prints, making them one of the bases of his FW 22/23 collection, and to the chromatic range of these, generally in dark tones. But this autumn/winter collection is not only made up of T-shirts. Puffer jackets and puffer trousers, bomber jackets, denim reminiscent of 90s gym wear and mud prints that refer to summer festivals in Germany also play an important role in this collection. Finally, the finishing touch to all these garments is provided by high-end jewellery in gold or silver and the first sneakers designed by the brand.
What do you think of Max Kobosil’s vision? We think it’s very inspiring, and we’re sure that 44 Label Group will take its place in the world of street style and streetwear.
