Dr. Martens and Slam Jam collaborate for the first time on a silhouette that explores the intersection between functional workwear and its adoption by electronic music subcultures.
Slam Jam has become one of the driving forces behind the collision between streetwear and fashion. Perfectly blending art, music and clubbing, and giving voice to subcultures, the brand merges with Dr. Martens for a unique and timeless silhouette.
The shoe, which dates back to 1461 in its creation, has been redesigned with influences from construction workers’ uniforms, prioritizing protection and visibility to the fullest. It is made of black leather and custom molded sides in homage to protective footwear. It has been highlighted with reflective details and laces commonly seen on high visibility jackets. It is completed with the Slam Jam logo, and classic Dr. Martens stitching and sole.
Dr. Martens X Slam Jam will be available at DrMartens.com and at Slam Jam stores and webstore tomorrow, October 20, 2022.
