Last night, New York City hosted the annual CFDA Fashion Awards gala, presented by Christine Quinn. The event was attended by some of the biggest stars, who didn’t hesitate to show off their best looks. Here’s a look at the list of winners and the best outfits that graced the red carpet.
Kim Kardashian was once again the centre of attention in a shimmering PVC dress by Dolce & Gabbana, while Kylie Jenner reappeared on the public stage in an elegant semi-transparent design by Mugler. Kendall Jenner opted for a more minimalist design in white by Khaite and Gigi Hadid opted for a colourful Thom Browne ensemble, as did Janelle Monáe, who was undoubtedly the most extravagant outfit in a voluminous black dress.
And after an impressive red carpet, it was time to discover the winners of this year’s awards. The Council of American Fashion Designers unveiled the list of award winners:
American Accessory Designer of the Year – Raul López (LUAR)
American Emerging Designer of the Year – Elena Velez
American Menswear Designer of the Year – Emily Adams Bode Aujla (BODE)
American Women’s Designer of the Year – Catherine Holstein (KHAITE)
Kim Kardashian obtuvo el primer Premio a la Innovación presentado por Amazon Fashion; Lenny Kravitz recibió el reconocimiento de Icono de la Moda y Virgil Abloh fue honrado con el premio póstumo del Consejo de Administración.
