Delfina Delettrez Fendi has always been on the cutting edge of fashion. A fourth generation member of one of the most famous families in the industry, Delfina has been the source of inspiration for Kim Jones for Fendi’s Autumn/Winter 2023 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Designer and member of the clan at the head of the firm, Delfina Delettrez Fendi has been the reference for the brand’s creative director, Kim Jones, for his latest FW23 collection. A collection that combines classic office aesthetics with a transgressive and disruptive touch. The collection plays with traditional tailoring, adding feminine touches to masculine silhouettes, fusing unstructured aesthetics with fetishist touches and elegant minimalism.
As one of the heirs to the house, Delettrez was trained in the company’s codes and legacy, a fact that Jones now updates Fendi’s own proposals. It is a recourse to the archive, but from a renewed perspective, a fusion of working codes with sensual silhouettes. Some of the garments include a work bun that ends with a midi skirt or shirt dresses that mimic a slip dress.
“It’s deconstructed, but luxurious. There’s a little nod to punk and my admiration for DIY, but with a chic twist,” Jones explains. “The first day Delfina came into work, she was wearing blue and brown, and I thought she looked so good. There’s an elegance but a wickedness to it which is what I love.” The bag also takes pride of place in the FW23 collection. To Fendi Baguette’s particular universe they have added another design, the Multi, with which the family of accessories is growing.
The limited edition Tiffany Blue designed by Fendi and Tiffany & Co. is now on sale.
