Carne Bollente continues exploring the art of provocation in a new sex-positive collection for the SS23 season in which he breaks with all the stigmas and conventions still suspended in the modern collective imagination.
The Parisian brand once again dilutes all taboos around sex and gender in this proposal entitled “SOUVENIR FROM US“, as a kind of freedom of expression channeled through illustrations or erotic graphics that engrave nudity, love and pleasure in different pieces or materials.
This celebration of its heritage and identity, or ode to its own archive, abandons through its value system and aesthetics the eco-futuristic production culture based on proximity.
For the FW23 season, Carne Bollente presents an eclectic collection inspired by memories, past travels and multiple references that have been engraved in the brand’s heart during all this time. It is thus a sort of homage to the brand itself in general, and to the 90s in particular, through eccentric tones and prints that connect with its liberal and experimental spirit.
A TRIBUTE TO THE ARCHIVE
In this sense, tribute is also paid to his past collaborations, such as the one with Tom of Filand, with which he broke barriers and conventions through graphics and messages. Likewise, they creatively collide for this episode with the artist Camille Potte, as well as with the creative Jacques Merle for some freehand drawn works that represent the beauty of daydreaming and different emotions such as euphoria.
Finally, the collection includes a series of typographic or souvenir-style designs that celebrate the origins of the brand’s founders with emotive T-shirts emblazoned with “I Love Paris” and “I Love Tokyo”.
