Bulgari Hotel & Resorts will open the doors of the Bulgari Hotel Roma on 9 June, located in piazza Augusto Imperatore.
This is the ninth addition to the project, which already has properties in Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, Bali and Tokyo. Located in the heart of the Campo Marzio district, the hotel is housed in a building constructed between 1936 and 1938 and inaugurated in 1950 by Alcide De Gasperi, the Italian Prime Minister. It stands opposite the recently renovated Mausoleum and is an exquisite example of rationalist architecture in Rome.
Designed by the architect Vittorio Ballio Morpuguo, the building is decorated with frescoes, mosaics and sculptures. The modern monumental architecture is enhanced by traditional Roman materials and colours such as travertine marble and burnt red brick.
As Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari, says: “The opening of the Bulgari Hotel Roma represents a milestone for Bulgari, as we will finally be able to welcome our guests to the birthplace of the House, the city that has inspired all our magnificent jewellery creations. It is a true temple of luxury hospitality and embodies all the values of the brand.”
