Saint Laurent Rive Droite invites Maison Intègre to SLRD shops in Paris and Los Angeles to showcase its work. Founded in 2017 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso by Ambre Jano, Maison Intègre was created with the ambition to promote local craftsmanship.
After fashion, cinema and objects, Saint Laurent is extending its creative macrocosm to architecture and design by inviting the maison par excellence Maison Intègre. The furniture and bronzeware brand based in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, will exhibit its works available for sale in the boutiques on rue Saint-Honoré in Paris and Rodeo drive in LA.
Maison Intègre was created in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, in 2017 by Ambre Jarno who at the age of 24 became interested in African art, a passion that led her to meet artisans and work with them, accessing ancestral knowledge, in particular the lost wax bronze casting technique. Each piece is made from recycled metals and natural materials.
Their workshop brings together around fifteen craftsmen with a wide range of skills to whom they want to ensure a regular volume of work, enabling them to make a living from their know-how. Their collections are the fruit of intercultural collaborations and their commercialisation allows the artisans to improve their living conditions, making craftsmanship a lever for economic and social development.
In 2022, they decided to create their own foundry in order to be able to welcome and bring together the craftsmen. A space that brings together all the artisans, and in which the workshop houses all the human and technical resources necessary to create bronze pieces. Through this project, they want to demonstrate the quality and excellence of their products made of lost wax bronze, thus preserving their authenticity.
