The New York community of Lacoste experienced a day of exclusive events to once again celebrate 90 years of history.
As you know, Lacoste is celebrating its anniversary this year. 90 years of history, heritage, passion, individuality and style continue to be celebrated in style. We joined them at Sónar last July and now the brand is in New York for Fashion Week and the US Open.
September 9th has always been a date marked in Lacoste‘s DNA. During the day, the Big Apple community was honoured with two celebrations that highlighted two of the French house’s most remarkable dimensions: fashion and sport.
In this way, the great borough of the Bronx hosted two tennis courts in collaboration with the city and brand partner City Parks Foundation to benefit local tennis fans through the renovation and organisation of weekly sessions. The renovation is supported by Venus Williams, international tennis icon and global ambassador for Lacoste, who took the opportunity to unveil one of the looks that are part of the Eleven by Venus x Lacoste collection to be launched on 8 November.
In the evening, the legendary Nine Orchard, located in the heart of Manhattan, witnessed a unique event. The rooftop reopened its doors for the special occasion where Pelagia Kolotouros, Creative Director of the house, revealed some of the most artistic silhouettes through important figures: Irina Shayk, Devonte Hynes or Jean Somi, among others.
“I am delighted to share a part of my artistic vision and interpretation of the Lacoste codes that appropriately and uniquely blend heritage and modernity. Through these looks I wanted to revisit the brand’s sporty influences through fashion while innovating a more assertive and sensual femininity,” says Pelagia herself.
