In a spectacular display of creativity and innovation, BOSS presented its Fall/Winter 2023 collection at the Allianz MiCo in Milan. To do so, the brand transformed the venue into its BOSS Techtopia, a universe where cutting-edge technology meets pristine Tiffany green spaces, offering a vision of a future where body and mind are naturally integrated.
The journey to BOSS Techtopia was truly bewitching, with life-size holograms offering greetings in multiple languages. The lobby, adorned with screens projecting robots, prepared us for an extraordinary catwalk experience. Sophia, a creation of Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics, was waiting for us at the entrance of the fashion show as a good hostess. Inside, six themed rooms overseen by the BOSS Techtopia Control Room invited attendees to immerse themselves in the new world. One was The AromaSynth Lab, a sanctuary for olfactory exploration, which celebrated the iconic BOSS fragrance and introduced the latest fragrance, BOSS Bottled Elixir.
The front row featured a constellation of international stars, from sports icons Victor Cruz and Jonathan Kuminga to brand ambassador Matteo Berrettini alongside Melissa Satta. There was also Naomi Campbell, Burna Boy, Demi Lovato, Aron Piper and Simu Liu, ensuring that the BOSS night was a landmark within Milan Fashion Week. And the model casting was not far behind. An international cast of luminaries such as Gigi Hadid, Jay Alvarrez, Ashley Graham, Amelia Grey and brand ambassadors Anthony Joshua, Alica Schmidt and Khaby Lame graced the runway, which was opened by Lee Minho.
All of them dazzled with the Fall/Winter 2023 collection, dubbed “CorpCore” by Falcioni. It challenges the conventions of office wear, giving a new twist to pieces from both men’s and women’s closets, from blazers and suits to shirts and pencil skirts. Stretchy, modern suits are crafted in the brand’s renowned performance fabric, printed with traditional patterns, while deconstructed designs celebrate distinctive BOSS craftsmanship in a refreshing way. Belts lend definition to wide cuts; large slits and two-way zippers bring versatility to timeless officewear silhouettes.
Crisp fabrics and defined structures emphasize a clean, sophisticated yet interesting look. Buttons and zippers, normally visible, are strategically omitted, highlighting the tailoring expertise for which BOSS is world-renowned. The color palette is also clean, using neutral tones commonly associated with the corporate environment, from timeless gray and white to shades of brown and green. Black, a classic in any BOSS collection, stands out, even in pieces adorned with the distinctive B-monogram pattern, which refers precisely to the brand’s corporate identity. And suddenly, office objects become accessories to the looks. Pens appear on bow ties and ties, folders are interpreted in a fun way on bags; details such as numerical locks on briefcases add a distinctive touch to bags and shoes (the code to open them was BOSS).
Following the success of the “see now, buy now” model used in its previous shows, BOSS has made a selection of garments from the Fall/Winter 2023 collection available to buy online as soon as they were revealed on the runway. As such, part of the collection is already available on boss.com and in BOSS retail stores worldwide.
In short, BOSS not only transported us to an exciting story of the Wall Street of the future, but also invited us to imagine tomorrow’s fashion with a great visionary capacity. Undoubtedly, for the brand that Falcioni leads in terms of design, this is an emblematic moment in its evolution; the beginning of a new era of innovation and style for BOSS.
The evening concluded with an after-party at BOSS TECHTOPIA itself, with sets by DJs Nicola Mazzetti, The Martinez Brothers and Ricardo Villalobos, capping off an outstanding fusion of heritage and futurism.
