The British artist announces on her Instagram that, due to a hacking of more than 80 of her demos, she will not be releasing music for a while.
Following her most recent mixtape, CAPRISONGS, the singer and artist FKA Twigs shared on her social networks on 14 October that a large part of the music she had prepared has been leaked due to a hacking. More than 80 demos, specifically 85 of her demos, have been damaged by this attack. Disgusted, the British artist has announced the fact on her Instagram while deciding to cancel the release of new music.
“Well done. You’re all out of new music for a while. Goodbye <3”, FKA Twigs announced on her Instagram stories. Along with some screenshots with the titles of all the leaked material, the artist regretted what had happened and concluded with a message to her producer Sega Bodega: “back to work”. She also joked by posting a photo of herself and her dog with the caption “I’ll find you”, in reference to the person who leaked her music.
This announcement comes a few days after hearing some of her new tracks at Paris Fashion Week, more specifically at Valentino’s, where they were performed with choreography directed by Tahliah. This gave us a hint that a new album was on the way. We don’t know if what she will release will stay in a drawer, but according to what has been announced, the singer wants to focus on new material to be released soon.
This was the first show of Madonna’s ‘The Celebration Tour’ with an appearance by FKA Twigs.
